Morton Headquarters Finds A New Home

RICHMOND, VA: After 10 years at their location in Innsbrook, Morton has relocated to 2907 West Marshall Street in Scott’s Addition. The building, formerly home of the Connor Brothers Collision Center, is an approximately 12,000 sq. ft. space, after having undergone a complete renovation during the past year, including the addition of a second floor. Morton will occupy roughly 8,000 sq. ft. and is subletting the additional space to Presidio, a leading North American IT solutions provider focused on Digital Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security solutions. The building features an open concept work space and sits in the heart of the historic neighborhood, which has experienced a booming revitalization in recent years.

In a little more than a decade, the Morton team has worked diligently to grow the business into one of the leading IT staffing firms on the East Coast, as well as a dynamic part of the Richmond community. Their success has resulted in financial growth in 10 out of the past 12 years. The move to Scott’s Addition caps off an exceptional year for Morton. In addition to tripling the size of their staff, Morton also had the honor of being included on the 2018 Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the country, making it the fourth time Morton has appeared on the list since 2010.

“I’m extremely proud of what our team has been able to accomplish over the past 12 months”, says Mark Morton, President and Founder of Morton. “From the expansion of our team to the expansion of our headquarters, it’s been a tremendous year of growth for Morton.”

As a result of their strong growth over the past year, Morton has increased their commitment to the community, resulting in partnerships with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, RVATECH, VCU Athletics, the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation, the Richmond Strikers, FeedMore, and many others. Morton’s new headquarters features a boardroom and common space that will be available for community use, based on availability.

Along with moving their headquarters to a new location in Richmond, Morton is continuing to expand their presence throughout the Commonwealth, including the Hampton Roads region and New River Valley. Morton continues to look toward the future, with a focus on investing internally and plans to explore the market in Raleigh, North Carolina.

“It’s an exciting time for Morton”, says Margaret Taylor, Morton’s Director of Marketing. “In addition to our move to Scott’s Addition and our expansion into wider markets, we also successfully unveiled our new branding which included updates to our website, print materials, signage, and logo. All of the changes in the past year have really paved the way for our continued growth.”
